I'd be interested but the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.

So, the replacement for my beloved 201 2 Mazda5 6MT has arrived? Yeah, I’m the guy that bought the one of two they brought in that year. (I’ve only seen one other in the wild, but I assume that they brought in a couple more, mostly for magazine testers...)

It’s probably a “$89/month CROSSTREK!!!” lease special from around here. In order to advertise those, they have to have at least one car on the lot that actually qualifies.

I was lucky and didn’t have to wait for my rare vehicle, buying the previous year’s loss- leader as the new ones were arriving. Yeah, not a good sign for the continuing availability of MTs in the US...

I'll give you $350 for it if you ship it to Canada for free.

you know... I used to want that. But the Crosstrek is too tall, too floppy, doesn’t have good enough brakes for a full on turbo motor. They’d have to do a bunch of mods - basically making it into a wrx hatch, (which is really what they should do....)

I can see it burning oil from here.

I did not think they existed in this configuration in the US. I thought all the Crosstreks were CVT’s. I would have been looking for one years ago, and I live in Oregon so I know I could have found one. I always liked the Outback Sport and the Crosstrek is those cars spiritual successor. Maybe I can find one after my house renovations are finished.

My boss bought one like this in blue. He’d probably still have it if it didn’t burn oil like a wankel.
